Named for the former First Lady of the United States — a large pink formal double from the Gordy garden in Ocala, Florida.
Named for the former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, this cultivar was originated by Clarence and Lillian Gordy of Ocala, Florida — prolific camellia breeders. The large rose-form to formal double flowers of 11.4 cm display pink shading to lighter pink at the edges, with yellow anthers and white filaments. Blooms are long-lasting and fall in one piece. Growth is upright at average rate. Listed locally as 'Rosalyn Carter' and registered as 'Rosalynn Carter.' Source: International Camellia Register.
