Rose Boquet

Rose Boquet
A fifty-petaled Neyron-rose hybrid from legendary New Zealand breeder F.M. Jury — crossing C. saluenensis with 'Tiffany.'
Originated by F.M. Jury of Waitara, New Zealand — one of the most celebrated camellia hybridizers in the Southern Hemisphere. This cross of C. saluenensis with C. japonica 'Tiffany' combines the delicacy and profusion of saluenensis with the size and substance of the japonica parent. The large flowers of 12.5 cm across by 7 cm deep display Neyron rose with fifty petals and occasional yellow stamens. Growth is spreading with average density, flowering mid-season. Listed locally as 'Rose Boquet' and registered as 'Rose Bouquet.' Source: International Camellia Register.
