A chance seedling of the celebrated Japanese cultivar 'Hakurakuten,' first blooming in 1962 at eight years of age. The large anemone-form flowers — 12.5 cm across by 5.5 cm deep — display white to very pale pink with stripes and flecks of pink, framed by 9 to 12 notched guard petals and filled with an impressive 120 to 130 petaloids. Growth is vigorous, upright, and open with dark green elliptic leaves averaging 12.5 cm by 5.5 cm. Source: International Camellia Register.
