Lavender Prince

Lavender Prince
A seventeen-year Dr. Clifford Parks hybrid of saluenensis × 'William's Lavender' — carrying the lavender-pink tones of its parent into a williamsii-type cross.
Originated by Dr. Clifford Parks of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, from a cross of C. saluenensis with C. japonica 'William's Lavender' — a parentage designed to produce the lavender-pink tones that 'William's Lavender' is known for, combined with the vigor and floriferousness of saluenensis hybrids. The seventeen-year seedling produces pink semi-double flowers with twelve petals, yellow anthers, and cream filaments on upright, open, rapidly growing plants. Listed locally as 'Lavender Prince' and registered as 'Lavender Prince II.' Source: International Camellia Register.
