Originated by Nuccio's Nurseries of Altadena, California — America's preeminent camellia nursery — this ten-year seedling first bloomed in 1982. The medium to large flowers in rich, deep red display anemone to peony form, accompanied by glossy, green, handsome foliage that provides year-round ornamental value. Growth is vigorous and upright with rapid rate, flowering mid-season. Featured on the rear cover of the 1988 SCCS Camellia Review.
