A deep pink Thomasville, Georgia japonica with vigorous upright growth, parent of the sport 'Jonathan Variegated.'
Originated by Dr. J. Cone of Thomasville, Georgia, and registered in 1967 through Tick Tock Nursery's listing in The Camellia Journal. The large semi-double to peony-form flowers display deep pink on vigorous, upright growth, blooming mid-season. Has produced the sport 'Jonathan Variegated.' Also known by the Chinese synonyms 'Qianashen' and 'Qiaonasen.' Listed locally as 'Jonathen.' Source: International Camellia Register.
