A Savannah hybrid with thirty pink-variegated petals and an ACS award, growing rapidly with light green foliage.
Originated by William Stewart of Savannah, Georgia, this eight-year hybrid was registered in 1962 and received an ACS award in 1945. The semi-double flowers feature thirty petals in pink variegation with yellow anthers, on a plant with upright, spreading growth at rapid rate and distinctive light green foliage. First published in the American Camellia Yearbook. Listed locally as 'Charlene' and registered as 'Charlean.' Source: International Camellia Register.
