Gypsy Dancer

A ruby-red mid-century semi-double with smaller center petals creating a layered depth effect — medium bushy growth ideal for landscape use.
First listed by Fendig in 1953 as 'red, semi-double, early,' then more fully described in the 1954 SCCS nomenclature as ruby red, medium-large, semi-double with smaller centre petals — a petal arrangement that creates a layered depth effect within each bloom. Medium, bushy growth and mid-season flowering. Listed locally as 'Gypsy Dancer' and registered as 'Gypsy Flair.' Source: International Camellia Register.
