Originated by Mrs. Sarah Jane Brown of Monticello, Florida — a small town in North Florida's Jefferson County where the camellia-friendly climate supported a tradition of backyard breeding. This ten-year chance seedling first bloomed in 1950, producing semi-double flowers with sixteen petals in pink. Growth is open at medium rate with dark green foliage. Listed locally as 'Nanna Brown' and registered as 'Nannie Brown.' Source: International Camellia Register.
