Originated by Marion H. Hall of Dothan, Alabama, as a chance seedling that first flowered in 1996. The large peony-form flowers of 14 cm display marbled rosy red and white with yellow anthers distinctively interspersed among the petals rather than clustered in the center. Growth is upright, dense, and vigorous, flowering early to mid-season. Listed locally as 'Vernon Hall (solid)' and registered as 'Marion Hall.' Source: International Camellia Register.
