Vanilla Moon
A very large fragrant white from Savannah's CamelliaShop — though the stated parentage involving C. synaptica is almost certainly incorrect.
Originated by CamelliaShop of Savannah, Georgia, in 2008 and registered the following year. The very large white flowers are notably fragrant. Growth is vigorous and spreading. The International Camellia Register notes that the stated parentage involving C. synaptica 'is most unlikely to be correct' — plants distributed as C. synaptica in the USA appear to be a form of C. yunnanensis. Listed locally as 'Vanilla Moon (Gene Phillips)' and registered as 'Magnolia Moon.' Source: International Camellia Register.
