Nuccio's Bella Rosa

Nuccio's Bella Rosa
A Nuccio's red formal double with 80–95 petals of heavy texture — introduced in their 2000 catalogue and blooming early through late season.
Originated by Nuccio's Nurseries of Altadena, California (Nuccio's #9205), as a chance seedling that first bloomed in 1992. The formal double flowers pack 80 to 95 petals of heavy texture in red, measuring 10 to 11.5 cm — a substantial exhibition bloom. The extended bloom season from early through late is a significant garden virtue. Growth is upright, dense, and of average rate with light green leaves. Listed locally as 'Nuccio's Bella Rosa' and registered as 'Nuccio's Bella Rossa.' Source: International Camellia Register.
