A forty-petaled pink variegated rose-form from Thomasville Nurseries — one of Georgia's landmark camellia establishments.
Originated by Thomasville Nurseries Inc. of Thomasville, Georgia — one of the South's landmark camellia establishments. This eight-year chance seedling first bloomed in 1962, producing rose-form double flowers with forty petals and eight petaloids in pink variegation with golden anthers and white filaments. Growth is upright with average density and dark green leaves. First published in the American Camellia Yearbook. Listed locally as 'Mr. Sam' and registered as 'Mister Sam.'
