Maybel Bryant Strawberry
A Nuccio's sport of 'Mabel Bryan' with strawberry-pattern red and pink stripes on a light pink field.
Originated by Nuccio's Nurseries of Altadena, California, as a color sport of 'Mabel Bryan.' The large semi-double flowers display a complex color pattern — red and pink stripes on a light pink field, veined deeper and lighter toward the edges — evoking the strawberry coloring that inspired the cultivar name. First listed in Nuccio's Nurseries Catalogue (1989–1990). Listed locally as 'Maybel Bryant Strawberry' and registered as 'Mabel Bryan Strawberry.' Source: International Camellia Register.
