A thirty-nine-year seedling from Savannah — one of the longest development periods on record for a japonica cultivar.
Originated by Harriet Harms of Savannah, Georgia, this cultivar holds one of the longest seedling-to-registration timelines in japonica breeding — thirty-nine years from seed to ACS registration. The white semi-double flowers feature sixteen petals with golden anthers and cream filaments. Growth is upright at average rate with dark green leaves. Listed locally as 'Katie Wooten' and registered as 'Katie Wootton.' Source: International Camellia Register.
