Winner of both the ACS Award (1968) and the RHS Award of Garden Merit (1993) — a fifty-five-petaled pink rose-form double from Fred Hamiter.
Originated by Fred Hamiter of Shreveport and registered in 1964, this six-year seedling went on to receive two of the highest honors in the camellia world: the ACS Award in 1968 and the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 1993 (rated H5). The rose-form double flowers feature fifty-five petals in pink variegation on upright, open growth at medium rate with dark green foliage. First published in the American Camellia Yearbook.
