Jennifer Ross

Jennifer Ross
Initially catalogued as 'Vanity Fair,' this slow-starting Australian seedling proved to be one of the strongest-growing sasanquas in cultivation.
Originally catalogued as 'Vanity Fair' before correction, this chance seedling from Dr. A.L. Ducker of Lindfield, New South Wales, first bloomed in 1959. Initially described as a slow, upright grower, later experience revealed it to be one of the strongest-growing sasanquas in cultivation — a dramatic reversal from its early character. The pale pink informal double flowers with curled petals bloom early. Featured in the International Camellia Society's 2023 Splendid Sasanquas. Also known by the Chinese synonym 'Niuzinü.' Listed locally as 'Jennifer Ross (Gene Phillips).' Source: International Camellia Register.
