Originated by H.C. Boardman — one of the early Georgia camellia breeders — and registered in 1951 through the SCCS nomenclature listing. The large semi-double flowers display pink coloring, blooming late in the season. Listed locally as 'Hollis Boardman (Augusta).' Source: International Camellia Register.
