Golden Lotus
A very large white seedling of 'Pink Elephant' measuring 15 cm — late-flowering with thirteen petals and gold anthers.
Originated by Marjorie O'Malley of Woodside, California, as a chance seedling of 'Pink Elephant' — a surprising white offspring from a pink parent. The very large semi-double flowers reach 15 cm across with thirteen petals and two to three petaloids, accented by gold anthers and white filaments. The seven-year seedling first bloomed in 1976 and was registered in 1981. Growth is upright at medium rate with light green foliage, flowering late. Listed locally as 'Golden Lotus.'
